Survey Visit in Kyrgyzstan

Naryn and Bishkek, 28^th-30^th April 2014

From 28^th to 30^th April 2014 the project coordinator Alfredo Squarzoni, the project manager Angelo Musaio and Eva Jankovichova of the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava, partner of the project, carried out a survey visit in Naryn and Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, and met the Minister of Education and Science of Kyrgyz Republic and the other Kyrgyz partners.

The delegation of European partners visited the Naryn State University on 28 April, the Bishkek Academy of Finance and Economics on 29 April and the Kyrgyz National University n.a. Jussup Balasagyn on 30 April. The main aim of the visit was to have a clear knowledge and understanding of the state-of-the-art of the implementation of responsibilities and facilities and of the software for the on-line management of the identified information and data for QA of SPs in the partner Universities, also in the perspective of the Workshops to be held in Almaty on 5 June 2014.

In the afternoon of the second day the delegation of European partners met the Minister of Education and Science of the Kyrgyz Republic. After the presentation of the results of the DoQuP project, the project coordinator and manager presented the proposal of stipulation of a ‘Memorandum of Understanding’ by all the Ministers of Education of the DoQuP Partner Countries, finalized to the sustainability and dissemination of the DoQuP Model and Software for the online documentation for the QA of SPs. The Minister expressed his interest in the proposal, which shall be deepened when a formal proposal of memorandum of Understanding will be formulated. Also the possibility of the adoption of the DoQup Model as national model for the documentation for QA of SPs in Kyrgyz Universities in the context of the national accreditation system that will be implemented on the next September was discussed.
