3rd DoQuP Workshop on “Methodologies and procedures of definition, gathering, elaboration and presentation of information and data for quality assurance of study programmes in partner countries”

The third DoQuP Workshop on “Methodologies and procedures of definition, gathering, elaboration and presentation of the identified information and data for the quality assurance of study programmes in partner countries” was held in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, at the premises of Technological University of Tajikistan on 14th March 2013.

The main aims of the workshop were the presentation of the proposal of DoQuP Model for the quality assurance of study programmes in partner countries, which describes the expected activities and behaviours and required documentation for the quality assurance of study programmes in partner countries, and the gathering of the opinions of the partner Universities, Agencies and Ministries on the usefulness and usability of the DoQuP documentation for the quality assurance of study programmes.

After the welcome speeches of the Rectors of the Eurasian Technological University of Tajikistan and of the Tajik Institute of Entrepreneurship and Services, the workshop went on with the presentation of the DoQuP Model by Marina Cavallini, CRUI.

The presentation by Marina Cavallini has been followed by the round table on the topic “The core activities for the quality assurance of study programmes”, with the following presentations:

  • The design of student-centred study programmes and The assessment of students’ learning, by Alfredo Squarzoni, University of Genoa;
  • The revision process, by Eva Jankovichova, Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava.

Other three round tables followed:

  • the first on “Opinion of the Universities of the partner countries on the usefulness and usability of the DoQuP documentation for the quality assurance of study programmes”, coordinated by Chinara Adamkulova, National Coordinator of DoQuP Project for Kyrgyzstan, with speeches by the representatives of the Azeri, Kazakh, Kyrgyz, and Tajik Universities;
  • the second on “Opinion of the Quality Assurance Agencies of the partner countries on the usefulness and usability of the DoQuP documentation for the quality assurance of study programmes”, coordinated by Saule Aidarova, National Coordinator of DoQuP Project for Kazakhstan, with speeches by the representatives of the Independent Kazakhstan Quality Assurance Agency for Education and of the Education Network Association (Kyrgyzstan)
  • the third on “Opinion of the Ministries of the partner countries on the usefulness and usability of the DoQuP documentation for the quality assurance of study programmes”, coordinated by Elmira Ismaylova of the Baku State University (Azerbaijan), with speeches by the representatives of the Ministry of Education of Azerbaijan and of the Ministry of Education and Science of Kyrgyz Republic.

The workshop has confirmed the general agreement on the proposed DoQuP Model, but also the need of a general revision in order to arrive at a final version fully shared by all the project partners.
